There’s more to Cecilia Harvey than just being a successful tech-savvy business woman. With over 20 years experience in finance and technology. Cecilia is an advocate for responsible technology leadership that seeks to inspire, elevate and disrupt global businesses and communities.
Cecilia is the Chief Executive Officer of Hyve Dynamics, a pioneering deep tech sensor technology company. Cecilia is also the founder of Tech Women Today and Ladies Who Launch. As Cecilia explains, “One of key objectives of Tech Women Today (TWT) and Ladies Who Launch (LWL) is build, sustain and strengthen a “pipeline” women in technology and female entrepreneurs respectively. Both communities are a conduit that provide equal access to opportunities and resources that can help women to be successful. One of the the most valuable aspects is how the women are a resource for one another.”
On her Tech Women Today YouTube channel Cecilia interviews women in technology in order to “encourage more women to enter the tech industry and expand the definition of what it means to be a woman in technology” and share advice with up and coming women in tech. TWT is a resource that provides resources for non technical female entrepreneurs that need to understand and leverage technology in order to grow and scale their businesses.
Ladies Who Launch is a platform for current or aspiring female entrepreneurs. Our inspirational, informational and empowering content and programming gives entrepreneurs the resources and tools necessary to build successful businesses.
An outspoken advocate for diversity, she works tirelessly to close the gender and racial gap while opening doors in the technology sector.
After receiving a degree from Wellesley College, Cecilia set off for Wall Street with ambitions to reach new heights in the largely male-dominated Investment Banking world. Cecilia has charted her own way in financial services peppering the atmospheres of Morgan Stanley, Barclays Capital and IBM Consulting before becoming Chief Operating Officer of Citigroup Markets and Securities Services Technology.
Cecilia’s recent achievements include being on the 2019 EmPower 100 Ethnic Minority Role Model List, being a 2019 Include Tech Alliance Awards Finalist, and a 2018 WeAreTheCity TechWomen100 winner.
Cecilia has been featured in the Sunday Times, European CEO and Times 2 about the issue of Queen Bee Syndrome, a subject that Cecilia has both experienced and researched. She has since been quoted on the subject – when women undermine each other in the workplace in order to strengthen their own position – in The Independent, Stylist and the New York Post, and has become a voice unafraid to make itself heard on this sometimes unpopular subject.
In 2020, Cecilia was featured in British Vogue Magazine under the Forces for Change campaign. Her inspiring story demonstrates that we can truly design a life we love, define success on our own terms and aspire to levels that exceed anything we thought was possible.
